Below you will find the numbers from the certificate of analysis, what the grower does and does not tell us about its genetics, how the measured terpenes translate into flavor, what people commonly report from a sativa at this potency, and how Don Vito compares with the other sativas and sativa-leaning hybrids we carry. If it is between drops, the comparison section points you to the nearest match in stock.

Lineage and genetics
The grower publishes no parentage for Don Vito, so we do not either. Plenty of strain databases will offer a family tree for a name like this, but none of that came with the flower, and guessing at parents is not useful to you. What we can say is how the grower classifies it, which is as a sativa, and what the lab measured, which is a panel led by limonene with myrcene and caryophyllene close behind.
That combination is worth noting because it is not the stereotypical “pure sativa” profile. Limonene on top gives the bright, citrus-forward character you expect, but the myrcene share is large enough to add weight underneath it. In practice that is why customers describe Don Vito as lifted rather than racy: the panel reads like a sativa with a grounded floor. Read the type label as a starting point and the terpene table below as the better guide to how it will actually feel.
Terpene and flavor profile
| Terpene | % |
|---|---|
| Limonene | 0.91% |
| β-Myrcene | 0.68% |
| β-Caryophyllene | 0.43% |
| α-Humulene | 0.19% |
| β-Pinene | 0.14% |
| α-Pinene | 0.08% |
| Caryophyllene Oxide | 0.04% |
| Listed terpenes | 2.47% |
Don Vito’s certificate includes a measured terpene panel totalling 2.584% by weight, which is a healthy number for cured flower. Limonene leads at 0.91%, and that is the first thing you notice: a sharp, zesty citrus closer to orange peel than lemon, bright enough to cut through the jar the moment it opens. β-Myrcene follows at 0.68%, bringing the earthy, slightly musky base that keeps the aroma from being one-note, and β-Caryophyllene at 0.43% adds the peppery, warm-spice finish the product copy calls out. α-Humulene (0.19%) deepens the herbal side, the two pinenes (0.14% and 0.08%) add a faint fresh-pine lift, and a trace of caryophyllene oxide rounds it off.
On the palate the order is the same as the nose: citrus first, then a savory, herbal middle, then pepper on the exhale. It is a clean, dry finish rather than a sweet one, so if you are after dessert flavors look at Grape Stomper instead. One honest footnote: the lab states that terpene analysis is outside its ISO 17025 accreditation scope, so read the panel as a reliable indication of proportions rather than a certified measurement. Our guide to terpenes and why they matter explains how to read these numbers.
What to expect from Don Vito and when to use it
At 35.24% THCA, Don Vito is one of the two strongest flowers we sell, and THCA converts to THC when heated, so plan accordingly. People who like it commonly describe a quick, bright lift, a more talkative and curious headspace, and a mild sense of motivation that suits creative work, errands or a walk. Because of the myrcene underneath, it rarely reads as jittery; most customers tell us it settles into an easy, comfortable body feel after the first half hour without turning sleepy. That is why we tag it creative, balance and unwind rather than energy alone.
The best window is daytime through early evening. It is a poor choice right before bed for most people, because the headspace stays switched on. Start with a small amount, a few pulls or a half bowl, and wait before adding more; experiences vary with the person and their tolerance, and a 35% flower leaves little room for error. Dry mouth is the most commonly reported side note, so keep water nearby, and do not drive. If you are new to THCA flower, read our first-time guide before you start.
How Don Vito compares with other Ember Trees strains
Don Vito is our highest-potency sativa. Here is how it lines up against the three strains customers most often weigh it against.
Don Vito vs. Fuel Face
Fuel Face is a sativa at 31.09% THCA with a limonene-led panel like Don Vito’s, but its second terpene is linalool rather than myrcene, which makes it noticeably more floral and softer in the finish. Fuel Face is the gentler, prettier version of the same citrus idea; Don Vito is stronger and more savory. See the Fuel Face strain guide.
Don Vito vs. Red Hots
Red Hots is a sativa at 30.65% THCA led by caryophyllene with limonene right behind it, which is why it reads as warm cinnamon spice and citrus rather than citrus and herb. Customers describe it as the more social, energizing pick of the two, while Don Vito is the more potent and the more grounded. The Red Hots strain guide has the full panel.
Don Vito vs. Super Boof
Super Boof is a sativa-leaning hybrid at 28.84% THCA with sweet cherry, bright citrus and mellow earth. It is the easiest-going of the four and the best fit if Don Vito’s potency is more than you want; see the Super Boof strain guide. Still deciding between types? Our guide to choosing between sativa, indica and hybrid walks through it.

Each batch gets its own certificate, so the numbers above describe the batch tested on the date shown.
Don Vito FAQ
Is Don Vito an indica or a sativa?
Don Vito is classified by the grower as a sativa. Its limonene-led panel fits that label, but the sizeable myrcene share gives it more body than a typical sativa, so customers describe it as lifted rather than racy.
How strong is Don Vito THCA flower?
The current batch tested at 35.24% THCA with 0.28% delta-9 THC (calculated total THC 31.19%) at Assured Testing Laboratories, making it the second-highest THCA flower on our menu.
What does Don Vito taste like?
Bright orange-peel citrus up front, a savory, herbal middle, and a peppery, dry finish on the exhale. It is not a sweet or dessert-style flower.
What terpenes are in Don Vito?
The certificate for batch ET-FLW-DON-20261021-01 lists limonene (0.91%), β-myrcene (0.68%), β-caryophyllene (0.43%), α-humulene (0.19%), β-pinene (0.14%), α-pinene (0.08%) and a trace of caryophyllene oxide, 2.584% in total.
When is the best time of day for Don Vito?
Daytime through early evening. Customers commonly reach for it for creative work, errands or social afternoons; the engaged headspace makes it a poor bedtime choice for most people.
Can Don Vito be shipped to my state?
Don Vito is hemp-derived THCA flower with delta-9 THC under 0.3% by dry weight. Ember Trees ships it by UPS to 45 states, excluding Arkansas, Idaho, Minnesota, Oregon and Rhode Island, to customers 21 and over.
