This guide goes through the Cannabis ChemLab certificate, what the grower does and does not publish about its genetics, how a spicy terpene panel ends up tasting like grape, what to expect from it and when, and how Grape Stomper compares with Red Hots, Super Boof and Animal Friez. If the product page shows it sold out, the comparison section points you to the nearest match in stock.

Lineage and genetics

The grower publishes no parentage for Grape Stomper, and we only print lineage that arrives with the flower, so none appears here. The name has a long history in cannabis circles and you will find plenty of claimed family trees online, but none of them came with this batch, and a name alone does not tell you which cut a grower is actually running. What the grower does tell us is that it is a sativa with sweet grape, sour fruit and an earthy aroma, and that is exactly what the certificate and our own noses confirm.

One point worth making about the “sativa” label: the panel is led by caryophyllene, a terpene more often associated with spicy hybrids than with classic bright sativas, and the myrcene share is moderate. That combination is why Grape Stomper feels warmer and more grounded than Red Hots, and why the grower’s own description pairs its uplifting character with a grounded body feel. Again, read the type label as a starting point and the terpene table as the better predictor.

trans-Caryophyllene dominates Grape Stomper’s certificate at 0.81%, the highest single terpene reading among our sativas. On its own caryophyllene is peppery and warm, but here it is paired with limonene at 0.45% and β-Myrcene at 0.36%, and the three together produce something that reads as fruit: the citrus brightness of limonene over the sweet, slightly musky depth of myrcene, with the caryophyllene spice adding the “stomped grape” tang that gives the strain its name. α-Humulene (0.21%) adds a dry, hoppy edge, linalool (0.15%) a touch of florals, and α-Bisabolol, the pinenes and a trace of ocimene complete the list.

In the jar it is sweet grape and sour fruit first, with the earthy base underneath. On the palate the grape stays through the inhale, the citrus brightens the middle, and the finish is where the fuel lives: a subtle, smooth gas note that is more suggestion than statement. It is a flavorful, easy-smoking flower that holds its character through a full joint. For the chemistry behind why caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene combine this way, see our terpene guide.

What to expect from Grape Stomper and when to use it

At 29.54% THCA, Grape Stomper is a strong flower, and THCA converts to THC when heated, so do not read the fruity flavor as a sign of a light effect. What customers commonly report is a smooth, uplifting start, cheerful and talkative, that keeps a warm, relaxed body underneath it from the beginning rather than arriving at one later. People who find Red Hots too sharp often land on Grape Stomper as the sativa that lifts without pushing, which is why we tag it creative, social and balance.

The best time of day is afternoon into early evening. It is bright enough for a social afternoon or a creative session and grounded enough that most people say it does not keep them switched on late into the night, making it one of the more flexible sativas on the menu. Start with a small amount and give it time; experiences vary with the person and their tolerance. Dry mouth is the most commonly reported side note; keep water nearby and do not drive. If you are weighing it against the indicas for an evening, our guide to choosing between sativa, indica and hybrid is a good place to start.

How Grape Stomper compares with other Ember Trees strains

Grape Stomper is the sweet, grounded option among our sativas. Here is how it compares with the three strains customers most often consider alongside it.

Grape Stomper vs. Red Hots

Red Hots is a sativa at 30.65% THCA that also leads with caryophyllene, but with limonene nearly level and almost no myrcene, so it is cinnamon spice and citrus with a fast, energizing feel. Red Hots is the sharper, louder daytime pick; Grape Stomper is sweeter and warmer. See the Red Hots strain guide.

Grape Stomper vs. Super Boof

Super Boof is a sativa-leaning hybrid at 28.84% THCA with sweet cherry, bright citrus and mellow earth, and an easygoing, balanced reputation. The two are the closest pair on the menu for fruit lovers: Super Boof is a touch lighter and more cherry, Grape Stomper a touch stronger and more grape, with that subtle fuel finish Super Boof lacks. The Super Boof strain guide has the details.

Grape Stomper vs. Animal Friez

Animal Friez is a sativa at 29.76% THCA, nearly identical on potency, with an evenly balanced caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene panel that reads savory and peppery rather than fruity. Choose Animal Friez for an understated, herbal flower and Grape Stomper for a sweet, expressive one; read the Animal Friez strain guide.

Small-batch flower rotates: Grape Stomper can sell through and may return when a new batch passes testing, so its product page may show it as sold out between drops. The current lineup is always on the THCA flower menu, and this guide stays up so you can compare Grape Stomper with what is in stock. Each batch gets its own certificate, so the numbers above describe the batch tested on the date shown.
