Fuel Face Strain Guide: THCA %, Terpenes, Effects and How It Compares

Fuel Face is a sativa THCA flower that tested at 31.09% THCA with 0.068% delta-9 THC in October 2026. Despite the name it is not diesel-forward: limonene and linalool lead, so it smells like citrus peel and soft florals with a peppery edge, and customers commonly describe it as a bright but easygoing daytime flower.

This guide walks through the Kaycha Labs certificate, what the grower tells us about its genetics (very little), why the terpene panel matters more than the name, what to expect from a sativa with this much linalool, and how Fuel Face compares with Don Vito, Animal Friez and Red Hots. If it is sold out when you read this, the comparison section points you to the nearest alternative.

Lineage and genetics

The grower publishes no parentage for Fuel Face, so we will not invent one. The name suggests fuel, and there are gassy cuts out there that carry it, but the batch we tested does not lead with diesel at all. That is a useful reminder of why we build these guides around the certificate rather than the strain name: two growers can sell flower under the same name and land in very different places.

What we do know is that this batch was harvested on 29 September 2026 and analyzed by Kaycha Labs three days later, alongside our Animal Friez, which makes it one of the freshest certificates on the menu. The grower classifies it as a sativa, and the panel, led by limonene with an unusually high linalool reading for a sativa, supports a bright-but-soft profile rather than a sharp, racy one. The product page is candid that its “unwind” and “balance” tags are provisional, terpene-informed browsing labels rather than verified effects, and we take the same approach here.

Terpene and flavor profile

Fuel Face terpene panel — Kaycha Labs certificate for batch ET-FLW-FUE-20261021-01 (percent by weight)
Terpene%
Limonene0.86%
Linalool0.40%
β-Caryophyllene0.31%
β-Myrcene0.26%
β-Pinene0.11%
α-Humulene0.09%
α-Pinene0.06%
Ocimene0.04%
Listed terpenes2.13%

Fuel Face’s certificate lists 2.30% total terpenes. Limonene leads at 0.86%, which is where the citrus-peel brightness comes from: it is the first thing out of the jar and the dominant note on the inhale. The surprise is linalool at 0.40%, a reading most of our sativas do not come close to. Linalool is the floral, faintly cool compound associated with lavender, and in Fuel Face it softens the citrus into something closer to a citrus blossom than a squeeze of lemon. β-Caryophyllene (0.31%) supplies the earthy pepper the product copy mentions, β-Myrcene (0.26%) adds a little weight underneath, and small amounts of β-Pinene, α-Humulene, α-Pinene and ocimene finish the panel with fresh, green edges.

The flavor follows the panel closely: citrus and florals together on the inhale, a mild herbal middle, and a peppery finish that is warm rather than harsh. It is a smooth, aromatic flower that rewards a grinder and a clean piece, because the florals are the first thing lost to a hot, dirty bowl. If you want to understand why linalool changes the feel of a limonene strain, our terpene guide covers both in detail.

What to expect from Fuel Face and when to use it

At 31.09% THCA, Fuel Face is a strong flower, and THCA converts to THC when heated, so read the sativa label as a description of character rather than a sign of mildness. What customers commonly report is a clear, uplifted start that is calmer than Don Vito’s, with the florals seeming to take the edge off: people describe it as bright without being buzzy, which is why it works for a slow morning, a creative afternoon or a social evening that does not need to end early.

The best time of day is any point before late evening. It is not a wind-down flower in the way our indicas are, but it is also the least likely of our sativas to leave you feeling wired, so it is a sensible first sativa for someone used to hybrids. Start with a small amount and wait; experiences vary with tolerance, and the smoothness of the smoke makes it easy to take more than you meant to. Dry mouth is the most commonly reported side note; keep water nearby and do not drive. Our guide to THCA flower for energy and focus puts Fuel Face in context with the rest of the daytime menu.

How Fuel Face compares with other Ember Trees strains

Fuel Face is the softest of our limonene-led sativas. Here is how it compares with the three strains customers most often consider alongside it.

Fuel Face vs. Don Vito

Don Vito is the stronger sibling at 35.24% THCA, also limonene-led but backed by myrcene and caryophyllene rather than linalool, so it is more savory, more peppery and more potent. Choose Don Vito for maximum strength and a grounded finish, Fuel Face for a lighter, more floral version of the same citrus idea. See the Don Vito strain guide.

Fuel Face vs. Animal Friez

Animal Friez is a sativa at 29.76% THCA that was harvested and tested the same week as Fuel Face, but its panel is led by caryophyllene with limonene and myrcene behind it, so it is savory, peppery and herbal where Fuel Face is bright and floral. It is the pick if you prefer earth to flowers; the Animal Friez strain guide has the details.

Fuel Face vs. Red Hots

Red Hots is a sativa at 30.65% THCA with a cinnamon-spice-and-citrus profile and a more energizing, social reputation. Red Hots is the louder, spicier daytime pick; Fuel Face is the mellower one. The Red Hots strain guide breaks down its panel.

Availability

Small-batch flower rotates: Fuel Face can sell through and may return when a new batch passes testing, so its product page may show it as sold out between drops. The current lineup is always on the THCA flower menu, and this guide stays up so you can compare Fuel Face with what is in stock. Each batch gets its own certificate, so the numbers above describe the batch tested on the date shown.

When is the best time of day for Fuel Face?

Morning through early evening. Customers commonly describe it as bright without being buzzy, so it suits slow mornings, creative afternoons and social evenings better than bedtime.
